The Michaelmas Issue:
Parenting, gardening, and finding meaning
Dear Friends,
Welcome to our Fall Newsletter! In honor of the harvest season and the festival of Michaelmas, we offer insight and inspiration from the fields of education and agriculture. We hope these re-kindle your connection with nature, with each other, and with your inner self in the spirit of courage and strength that draws so very near to us during this special time of year!
Friends of PAAM is an association of people dedicated to “health creation.” Health is defined not just by the absence of illness, but also by its positive features – vitality, resiliency, curiosity, compassion and the ability to reach our fullest creative potential. Over a century ago Rudolf Steiner created a new approach to education, agriculture and medicine which he hoped would support healthier communities. This is now more relevant than ever! Research about health creation is mounting and we all need to pay attention. Our health is dependent on our environment, food, work, relationships and education, as well as our approach to illness. It is time to connect the dots and broaden this awareness throughout the world. If we open our minds and our hearts wide enough, we will find the will to take action and become instruments of change in our communities.
Please join our efforts toward making “health creation” a goal for our future. Together, we can find the courage to meet the challenges of our modern world. If you are concerned about issues such as environmental pollutants, technology in childhood, the effects of too many vaccinations, 5G, or simply the busyness of modern life, and you want to learn more about how to create health and resilience, become a member and spread the word!
Consider sharing this newsletter and making a donation to help us expand and partner with those who want to change the message of public health from one of managing illness to one of actively creating overall health!
